Warranty Policy
The Warranty policy applies to faulty items.
Any warranty applicable is that stated /given by the Manufacturer or South African Distributor of the product. Earth Power Technologies does not carry product warranties. We will facilitate any warranty claims with respect to any faulty product purchased from us. For warranties to apply, the following must be complied with:
• All installations must be installed as per manufacturers’ specifications
• All installations must be carried out by a qualified electrical wireman or Master electrician with a valid registration with the Department of Labour.
• A valid electrical certificate of compliance (COC) must be issued once installation is complete, which COC must be specific to the installation of the backup or solar system.
• The installation must be compliant with SANS 10142 and ALL its parts.
• Any warranty claim must be submitted with installation photos, a valid COC and proof of a qualified wireman/master electrician having done the installation.
Please note failure to submit required proof can result in the warranty claim being rejected and will render the warranty claim null and void.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from (including but not limited) to:
• Damage to the item in transit, incorrect installation, negligence by owner or installer, any weather damage, power surges, under-/ over voltage, lightning, corrosion, water damage, heat exposure, damage from dust or any solid particles, damage from animals, tampering with the product, and exceeding the maximum power rating, current or voltage for the input solar circuit, DC battery input, AC input and AC output.
Warranty returns take a minimum of up to 30 business days to be processed.
Any loss due to damage of the item in transit, is recoverable under the customer’s own insurance. Please refer to the Delivery policy.
